Traditions Bank announces the addition of James Coombes as Manager of the future Downtown York City office. Located at the busy intersection of North George and West Philadelphia Streets, the Bank’s sixth branch is currently undergoing renovations and is slated to open mid-year.
Mr. Coombes has spent the majority of his 25-year banking career in York and is well known in the downtown area. For the past 18 years, Coombes served as manager of the Center City York financial center for PeoplesBank. He earned his Associates degree from the Community College of Allegheny County and is a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Banking and Advanced School of Banking.

Mr. Coombes resides in the area and is actively involved in serving the community. He volunteers as an allocations panel member of the United Way of York County and as a team captain for the Cultural Alliance of York County annual campaign. Coombes is also involved with York City Special Events, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement, and YWCA’s Walk A Mile in Her Shoes.
