Traditions Bank Gives Local
Philanthropy and service to our community is part of our culture at Traditions Bank. Our Associates give back through volunteerism, whether working at events or by serving on community boards. The Bank has donated more than $1 million to local nonprofit organizations since we opened our doors in 2002.
We’re proud to support this grass-roots initiative in our county with an amazing interactive window painting display at our Downtown Branch. Created by Local Artist Annelise of LoveBug Illustrations, the interactive art will be created on May 6th and will be up for the weekend. You are encouraged to take pictures and post to your favorite social media platform and tag Give Local York & Traditions Bank.
What is Give Local York?
Give Local York is the first-ever 24-hour online giving event in York County’s history. The goal is to raise $1 million for the more than 200 participating nonprofit organizations. Give Local York unites donors, businesses, and organizations in giving back to the communities where we live, work and play. On May 6, every dollar donated at www.givelocalyork.org is stretched with bonus funds provided by sponsors, adding excitement and incentives, while raising essential funds for the work of local nonprofits.
This model of giving democratizes fundraising. Together, we can create lasting change and grow the capacity of community organizations in York and the surrounding areas. No gift is too small.
How Can We Celebrate Give Local York?
Give Local York will feature a variety of events to honor the day throughout our area including a party at Central Market during First Friday activities and nonprofits showcasing their organizations in Cherry Lane Park. Other events will take place through York County at a variety of venues. More information is available here.
