John D. Blecher, CPA, Founder, Chief Operating Officer, & Chief Financial Officer, has more than 35 years of banking experience. As a Certified Public Accountant since 1985, John Blecher has a wealth of expertise in accounting and funds management, regulatory reporting, SEC compliance, taxation, shareholder relations, and budgeting. John’s role at Traditions Bank includes responsibility for finance, deposit operations, regulatory compliance, and information technology. His contributions earned him recognition as a finalist for the CFO of the Year award by the Central Penn Business Journal in 2013.
John’s career in banking began in 1987 when he joined Drovers Bank as Director of Internal Auditing. His success led him to become Senior Vice President, Controller and later served as Corporate Secretary and Principal Accounting Officer for Drovers Bancshares.
Currently, John serves on the Finance Committee of the Appell Center, an organization he has been involved with since 2022. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Finance Committee of DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre and the Board of Directors of the PA Bankers Services Corporation.
In 2002, John Blecher founded Traditions Bank, driven by his passion for filling the void for small and mid-sized businesses created by the merger of Drovers and Fulton Banks. Creating a brand-new bank provided John with the opportunity to work in his community, a factor that was particularly enticing to him.
