Saturday, November 25 is #SmallBusinessSaturday
What’s Small Business Saturday, you ask? It’s a celebration of the local, independent, small businesses that make our community special and vibrant. While it’s important to “shop small” everyday, #SmallBusinessSaturday, is a celebration of these brick and mortar shops, restaurants, etc., owned by our friends, family and neighbors in York and Hanover.
Small Business Saturday began in 2010 to help support hurting businesses during the recession. It’s hosted the Saturday after Thanksgiving in juxtaposition to Black Friday and Cyber Monday which typically support large box stores. In 2016, small business owners across the country generated an estimated $15.4 billion dollars … just during that day. It has impact far past the event. Many of these business owners rely on the heavy foot traffic to build their brands, gain new customers and support them during the tough season after the holidays. Many businesses run holiday specials, giveaways or discounts that are only available on Saturday.
During Small Business Saturday and throughout the entire year, Traditions Bank is proud to serve the York and Hanover areas and to highlight the important role small businesses play in our local community. We realize they are the center of the nation’s economic prosperity, creating local jobs and economic growth in cities and towns across the country. We hope you’ll join us in support of businesses in York and Hanover for Small Business Saturday on November 25, 2017.
All of our branches are open and ready to serve your needs every Saturday from 9am-Noon.
