Work-Life Balance
At Traditions Bank, we understand the importance of work-life balance. We encourage our associates to take advantage of the benefits offered so they can be their best selves both at work and at home. We want our associates to feel valued, supported, and empowered to live their best lives both in and out of the workplace.
We understand the importance of time away from the workplace, and juggling home and work priorities. Traditions Bank provides a PTO program, encompassing vacation and sick time, to allow our associates the flexibility of meeting their time-off needs. PTO allows for scheduled rest, recreation, and recharge time.
Traditions Bank recognizes the importance of families having time to bond and care for a child following their birth, placement (including legal guardianship), fostering, or adoption. In that spirit, associates are eligible for paid parental leave in accordance with our guidelines. If additional time off is needed beyond the paid parental leave allotment, PTO may be requested.
The PTO Leave Bank Sharing Program is an initiative that supports associates who are faced with financial hardship due to serious medical hardship and catastrophic illness or injury. The PTO Leave Bank is funded through PTO donations from associates.
Traditions Bank observes the holiday schedule adopted by the Federal Reserve System (11 holidays). Full- and part-time associates are eligible for holiday pay.
Health
Your health is a priority to us. It’s why we offer high-quality health insurance to meet the needs of you and your loved ones.
Medical/Prescription is offered through Highmark Blue Shield. Choose between Traditional PPO and Qualified High Deductible Health Plan, which allows you to contribute tax-free money into a Health Savings Account (HSA). Vision coverage is offered through Highmark Blue Shield (Davis Vision), while Dental is administered through Lincoln Financial Group, covering diagnostic, preventative and basic services.
With employer paid Group Life and AD&D Insurance, participants will be covered by a death benefit of two times their current annual base salary with a max limit not to exceed $200,000 for any one person. You may purchase additional insurance for yourself or a dependent.
If a disability prevents you from being able to work, these employer paid benefits kick in to ensure you have 60% of your weekly or monthly base salary.
Our mission is to provide a culture of wellness which improves the overall quality of life for all bank associates and their families. The Wellness Program is designed with our associates in mind and focuses on three main components: Be Well (Physical), Learn Well (Educational), and Do Well (Community). The program is fun, encourages true teamwork, and is voluntary to participate in.
Traditions Bank’s EAP program, through WellSpan, provides confidential, professional care to help individuals identify and resolve personal and workplace issues. EAP is a voluntary program that can include face-to-face assessment, short-term counseling, referral, and follow-up services. Care is designed so that associates and their dependent family members can seek help without worrying that someone at work will find out about their problem. The EAP is paid for by Traditions Bank and free to associates.
Financial Wellbeing
We offer plenty of opportunity for you to grow your retirement funds and prepare for a financially secure future.
Conveniently save for retirement by making either pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions through payroll deductions. The bank contributes a 401(k) match which is immediately 100% vested.
When the bank achieves its profitability goals, eligible participants will be given a monetary profit sharing plan contribution. This is an annual contribution added to the associate’s Traditions Bank retirement plan.
We provide programs to help with education expenses. The Traditions Bank Tuition Reimbursement Policy allows for reimbursement of qualified tuition expenses to associates who work 30 or more hours per week. Associates must also be taking classes from an accredited college or university, be bank-business related, demonstrate a “Meets Expectations” or higher level performance in their position, and be employed for a period of one year prior to the date of application for the program.
Personal Growth
We want you to have every opportunity to be your best self — to grow, explore, learn, advance, and be excited about the possibilities today and in your future.
For us, it’s not enough to foster company growth; we want everyone to reach their fullest potential. We work hard to maintain an environment that encourages associates to be their best self and be fully engaged in their personal and professional development.
Supervisors play a key role in guiding associates’ development, and in partnership with the Training Department, strong short and long-term career goals can be established. Opportunities for internal and external training are available. Training topics may include job specific training, career advancement training, and leadership training.
The Traditions Bank Mentor Program supports both personal and professional development. Eligibility for the program begins at 12 months of employment with the bank. Our formal mentorship is 12 months in length and includes individual and group mentoring. Mentees have access to subject matter experts based on their career goals. All mentees are paired with a primary mentor. Many have formed real and lasting connections that extend beyond the length of the program and serve as a resource for their career well into the future. Networking and social opportunities are also built into the program schedule, along with opportunities to meet and learn from community leaders.
Traditions Bank invests in you. As a growing company, we encourage career growth for associates who want to lead beyond their current roles. We acquire, train, and retain, best-in-class associates to fulfill current and future needs of our bank’s expansion.
Traditions Bank associates have access to a robust career planning tool that can assist them in designing a career path. This state-of-the-art, innovative technology helps team members determine what roles they might be a good fit for based on their existing skills and competencies. Associates can grow and develop new skills in order to meet requirements for higher level positions throughout the organization. Development goals can be set, and tracked by associates, and their managers, in the software, streamlining a strategic approach to career path planning.
Community Involvement
Traditions Bank is heavily invested in our community and we encourage our associates to be as well.
Traditions Bank supports and encourages all associates to volunteer their time and talents to recognized causes, charities, and other nonprofit organizations. The VTO program provides an opportunity for associates to make a positive impact in their communities and live our core value of "Community Commitment." VTO is time paid by the bank to volunteer during the associate’s normally scheduled work hours with supervisor approval.
You can find our associates out and about in our communities helping dozens of local organizations in South Central Pennsylvania.
